Rizse Adds Regulatory Affairs Expert Jim Sturgis to Advisory Board
Rizse is pleased to announce that Jim Sturgis, a well-known leader in aircraft maintenance, is joining our advisory board. Jim is an expert in regulatory affairs, best practices in aircraft maintenance, and quality control. He will assist in the full integration strategy of Rizse’s product with our customers.
"I'm glad to have an industry-heavyweight like Jim join our team,” remarked Colby Harvey. “He brings decades of experience with MROs and airlines and has devoted his career to aircraft safety. We are excited to work with Jim on making the industry safer for all.”
Jim Sturgis joins the advisory board with extensive experience as an aviation executive and leader. Jim was the co-founder of CAVOK, an aviation-centric consulting firm acquired by Oliver Wyman in 2007. CAVOK was founded to focus on aviation compliance, certification-related efforts, and regulatory engagement with the FAA. As an officer with Southwest Airlines, Jim continued his focus on regulatory engagement while providing oversight within the technical operations arena, including Quality Assurance, maintenance programs, planning, and reliability, as well as strategic engineering. Jim has an established record of developing and growing new entrant companies within the aviation industry.
“While the aviation industry has always embraced technological advancement, never before in our history have operators wanted to explore and deploy technologies that provide significant advantages when it comes to labor efficiency, costs, and increased insight provided by ever-increasing amounts of data available.
Rizse, in its concept and application, is on point with each of these critical objectives. Rizse is well-positioned to provide the industry with a product that significantly leaps forward the pursuit of those objectives.” Jim Sturgis
